Straighten your teeth, comfortably.
Patients of all ages, and with all types of smiles, prefer to improve the look and health of their teeth with Invisalign. In fact, over 4 million people have achieved their ideal smiles using aligners. Unlike traditional braces, which are known to chafe the mouth and lips, the clear aligners fit easily over the teeth. There’s no need to apply wax or deal with annoying rubberbands. Just wear the aligners and watch your teeth shift into their corrected positions.
Improve your oral health!
While Invisalign can improve the aesthetic look of a misaligned smile, it’s effects are more far reaching than that. Invisalign can provide and support an overall improvement of oral health. Crooked teeth can cause uneven wear of a tooth’s enamel, leading to bone loss, gum disease and a host of other degenerative issues. No matter the complexity of your misalignment – gaps, overcrowding or crossbites – Invisalign works for the majority of patients to straighten teeth, making your smile healthy and happy.
Keep your treatment discreet
No one wants their flaws visible every time they smile. With Invisalign, no one has to know. Metal braces, especially for adults, can make you feel juvenile or embarrassed about your treatment. Stop covering your mouth and show off your progress with clear aligners.
How does Invisalign straighten teeth?
Invisalign works using a series of clear aligners customized for each patient. Dr. Smith will take impressions and send them to Invisalign. There they will use software to plan your alignment and create your customized aligners. Once they send them back to your dentist’s office, you can pick them up and begin treatment.
Aligners can be easily removed for eating, brushing and flossing, but should be worn 20-22 hours per day. Approximately every two weeks, the old set of aligners will be replaced with a new set. As the treatment progresses, the teeth will gradually shift into proper alignment.
The individual needs of each patient will determine how many aligners are made. Once that timeline is established, the ability of a patient to diligently wear the aligners will determine how long the overall straightening process will take. Check ups every 4-6 weeks with Dr. Smith will help you stay on track with your treatment.
